Moving House and SKY

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right forum.

We will be moving house in the next month or so - does anyone know if its cheaper to move the SKY+ with you or to get a new contract so you can get a better box etc? We will be out of the contract by the time we move and not sure it its worth applying as a new customer at the new property or to transfer existing contract.

Alternatively, does your new house have cable tv?

I moved at the end of last year, and took my Sky box with me. I couldn't be bothered taking down the dish, so bought another one from a well know auction site.

I am not good at heights, so got a friend to install the new dish - gave him £20 for his troubles.

As Crafty said, worth phoning Sky first, to see what they quote. Haggle with them too - e.g. You could always say that you will cancel your subscription if they are wanting too much to relocate the dish. Start by wanting it done 'free' and see how you get on.

I just upgraded too sky+ an it cost me £149 installation an NEW Pace box , touch wood havent had to reset it yet
