also, my Immersion heater is giving no hot water.

are these connected ??

All my radiators are down. My gas heaters work though. I am using electric radiators for now.

how do I fix my boiler ?? it's an old one, apparently the wind blew out the light ???

And why is my immersion not working ??

I don't know the model.

It's been there for 25 years.

Do you need pictures ??

Lummy, when was it last serviced?

These are ancient, but simple. Does the pilot light then not stay on?

either way, it is going to be RGI territory.

no, we have assumed, but not certain,
that the wind and the cold stopped the pilot light from coming on.

no there is no light

and it won't light when tried, my dad tried

he means you need a Registered Gas Installer to come and mend it.

I'd put 50p on a worn-out thermocouple, but what do I know?

also, my Immersion heater is giving no hot water... And why is my immersion not working ??

BTW this is an immersion heater. It should have a heat-resistant flex going to an electrical switch on the wall. If it is old and has been neglected there might be a fault in the element, or the thermostat, or the switch, or the circuit, or at the "fuseboard"

and this is a hot water cylinder. The immersion heater goes into the top of it. It ought to be encased in insulation or a jacket.

so what's the problem and what do I need to do ?

what can be done ?

forget the immersion for now

let's just concentrate on my boiler nad radiators

done that

someone is coming tomorrow

I was just curious and wanted another opinion from the internet

You need to call out a registered installer.

You will need either:

A thermocouple
A gas valve,
A damn through boiler service

All of the above.

If you are unlucky, the heat exchanger will have cracked and you will need a new boiler.
