They sure know how to make their money when it comes to parts... same story in most industries now. They probs make more on the parts than they do selling the boilers. Makes sense to fill em full of **** I reckon. Id leave it and save up... I know this threads old but just got the urge to bump up my post count See ya

I have the same boiler, with a silent fan - at the moment!

Baxi Partsarena lists a "fan assembly" part no 402S3467 which, from the diagram just seems to be the motor and fan blades. It also lists two versions of a "fan c/w mounting plate assembly"; one for the 15/30 (part no 402A2206), the other for the 30/50 and 40 (part no 402A2207).

If its just the bearings on the fan which have gone, why can't you just replace the fan and motor (402S3467). That will cost £189; which is still a lot but better than £300.
