I have just installed central heating and waiting on plumber to install the gas supply, boiler and commission the system. The quote includes a gas safe certificate but do I need to do anything with regards to building regulations?

The installer should notify Gas Safe who in turn notify Building Control and send you a letter confirming it was installed by a registered engineer.

He can ONLY do that if he is Gas Registered.

Some dodgy unregistered people try to fob you off with a landlord certificate which THEY write out.

Check his membership and photo on the Gas safe website!

Only pay against an invoice showing the installer's name and address.
