I had my new central heating commissioned yesterday.
It replaced an old single pipe system.
I am typing through bleary eyes as the system clicked and clonked all night.
a. When the valve (Drayton TRV4) clicked on you get 10 or 12 clunks close together approx 10 to 30 seconds after
it turns on.
b. after that there are clunks in the radiator and under the floor approx' every 10/20 minutes throughout the night.
The boiler is a Vaillant ecoTec plus 630 system boiler.
You can get under the floor and the pipes are well lagged. It is a bungalow.
I will check around the house to see if the other valves react in the same way.
I have found the valve problem in the two bedrooms nearest the boiler, so far.
I will be contacting the corgi plumber today, but I would like any suggestions/solutions so that I am ready!
