I am going to fit ceramic tiles on kitchen floor. The floor is concrete BUT has plastic tiles stuck to the concrete with a bitumen based adhesive. I thoght about using a heat gun and taking the tiles up? Or trying to scarify the surface of the existing tiles. Any suggestions? Cheers. Mike. Bristol UK

i feel u will need to take up the existing or at least as much as u can.

a blow torch and scraper will do it albeit hard work.

i don't feel u will get the adhesion by simply scarifying.

Arizona to uk does not seem a good trade off to get back into plumbing though
