new gas fire+ fake chimney breast onto precast flue

need some guidanc here.

new house, have removed oroginal gas fire which just had service, wall hung type horrible thing.

i have a precast flue 70's house
iwant to put in a fake chimney breast and add a stone fire surround, with a new gas fire(already have the surround and fire which says suitable for precast.

what i want to know how can i extend the flue opening out to meet the added depth of the fake breast?
