Hi

We want to get rid of our existing hot water tank (in upstairs airing cupboard) and put a new one in the garage. Today an architect came round to talk about plans for other work we need doing and she mentioned a "Maxi xxxxx ??" :?: tank - she said its very large (good for families?) and has good insultation around it.

I can't remember the name of it though? Anyone know? Also do any plumbers have experience of this or can you recommend anything better we should be looking at (4 bed detached home with 2 adults, 2 kids)?

Thank you :)

They probably said megaflow.

A trade name. Just a mains pressure hot water tank. Provided there is
enough water pressure and flow.

Agreed, provided your mains can cope with it (your installer will be able to check this) an unvented hot water cylinder would be the best option for you

Consider also a storage combi with weather compensation. You still need a sound cold water main supply.
