I'd like to add a couple of rads to my existing system but access to the 10mm feed/return at the manifold is tricky.
Is it possible to T into the 10mm feed/returns of an existing radiator to supply a new one?
Cheers
It's possible, but you may overload the existing 10mm pipe's carrying capacity and get poor flow through the new rad. It depends on what heating loads (kWs) you're supplying and what length of pipe there is from the manifold. It's a complicated calculation if you're not familiar with heating system design.
A better approach might be to run new supplies from the main 22mm (?) pipes by inserting T fittings and then reducing down to 10mm or whatever size you prefer to use for the loop to the rad.
