Hi all

I have a dishwasher under 1-year old that has the water cut off mechanism.
It recently failed and I had to pay £125 ($250 NZ) because the polystyrene float switch was chewed by a mouse.
Are these dishwashers so bad that they can fail so easily?
I didn't get any support from Smeg at all. It would be interesting if anyone else has had similar problems.

Why would any manufacturer cover damage done by mice? Get rid of the mice and you won't have any problem. This has nothing to do with manufacturing quality.
