Hi. This is my setup. I have a conventional heat only boiler in the ground floor kitchen. Hot water cylinder in the first floor bathroom airing cupboard with an attached wired manual cylinder stat. Wired room thermostat in the ground floor dining room. Wired Honeywell ST6300a heating and hot water programmer in the airing cupboard.
What would you recommend as a reasonably straight forward upgrade to a wireless programmer that operates both hot water and heating timings as well as wirelessly controlling the room temperature? The hot water cylinder stat will be on a fixed 60c setting.
Would there be a receiver box wired in the airing cupboard where the ST6300a is now? And then the portable wireless programmable unit that connects remotely to that and the wireless unit can be set for independent hot water timings and independent heating timings with associated room temperatures? Would the wired cylinder stat remain and be wired into the receiver unit? Would the current wired room stat just be disconnected and unused now?
Thanks in advance for recommendations of controllers.
