The foam seal does tend to compress fairly easily, and rarely seals once disturbed. I've used 'sticky both sides' draught excluder foam before - the stuff on a roll - but I wouldn't object to using silicone either.
Any replacements from a breaker will be in the same state as yours, I'm afraid.
