Make sure you switch the hot water to OFF so that you are just trying to push the heating around. Otherwise the flow will just take the easiest route through the cylinder coil and back to the boiler. You can try and up the pump speed for the time being.

If you mean manually then close it and turn the HW off on the timeswitch.

can u tell me why my pilot light keeps cutting out ?

Probably clicking out on overheat stat which will interupt the gas supply to pilot.

well thanks for the help but it looks like ill have to get a plumber in to look at it as i cant find the problem
