no hot water but the heating works fine

i have a Celtic FF LPG COMBI BOILER,it was working fine until friday.when we turn on the hot tap the boiler does not start?????????.its ok if you use the hot tap whilst the heating is on............it just wont work when the heating is off.could it be a fuse or something obvious that i'm overlooking?.
