No hot water - Chaffoteaux water heater

I have a chaffoteaux Britony water heater and since yesterday when I am turning on the hot water taps the burner will not light up, hence not getting any hot water
The pilot is staying lit.

Please help!

How? No model name/number, or subtle symptoms like clicks. And there were several britony's.
You need a corgi regd boiler engineer.

if flow rate is good its the diaphragm, get a proffesinal to sort don't pay more than £70 fitted.

Thanx for all your advice.


I have now had the appliance repaired and the water is now more warmer than ever before and heats up quicker.


I have had the thermocouple, the electrode and the diaphragm replaced (£30 for all these parts) and was charged £25 by the engineer so in total paid £55.
