I wonder if anyone could give me some advice please? I had a new central heating system installed 18 Months ago with a Mega Flo and a couple of days ago the hot water supply stopped working. The radiators are working fine and I have temporarily powered the Mega Flo using an Electric Cable, however this I am sure will be expensive.. I am presuming the problem is likely to be the thermostat, however wouldnt know where to start..

My question is.. is the problem likely to be thermostat?
How easy a job does it sound?

Appreciate any help..

There are two common causes:-

1. Cylinder thermostat;
2. Motorized valve (not opening or microswitch faulty).

...and two less common ones:-

3. Programmer (faulty or wrongly set);
4. Wiring fault.

To diagnose which component is faulty you need a multimeter and the knowledge to use it.

Likeliness is irrelevant - you need to work through systematically to find the fault.

Pretty easy.
