no mains water to my electric shower

hi guys please help
as my wife is going mad ! i changed our old mitra electric shower fora new creda aquanoir and everything went well until switch on all power is correct all fittings are correct the problem is that i have no mains water going to my shower. the shower is on the same feed as the toilet and the toilet fills no problem but the shower will not draw any water at all even with the shower disconnected the water still doesn't come out please help any advise would be great

Forgive me Craig, but is your toilet etc fed from the mains or from a tank in your loft?
Most electric showers require genuine mains pressure, but a few will function with a gravity supply.
The manufacturers specifications should tell you whats required.

before you removed the old shower, no doubt you turned off the water supply. Where did you turn it off?
