Just about to fit my new toilet in my new bathroom and noticed that there is no overflow coming off the cistern. Does this mean it has an internal overflow that goes into the bowl? Can I just remove overflow pipe from wall and cover over the hole?
Modern toilets do have an integral overflow, it'll go straight into the pan under fault conditions. The external overflow is surplus to requirements, feel free to remove and fill hole if you so desire.
