Hi
I've been asked to install an ensuite in a property that doesn't have it's own soil vent. There is a downstairs WC that goes directly into the drain (although no drain cover can be seen!) - there is a vent on next door property that it can vent through.
I thought of using a durgo in the ensuite, tee-ing into the 4" under the downstairs WC floor, and looking into it doesn't seem a problem. http://www.bbacerts.co.uk/certs/43/4325i1_web.pdf page 4 appears to confirm this.
However, a colleague of mine thinks I will need to vent the soil pipe through the roof. There is obviously the Saniflo option but rather not if possible.
Has anyone worked on anything similar? what did you do?
Any advice, greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Graham
