hiya just wondered if anyone could help me

I got a peugoeut 307 which has sometimes emits a scraping or clunking niose when the brakes are applied. Other than the niose the car brakes perfectly no slipping or anything. I think it is only coming from the back drivers wheel and wood prefer to have some idea whats the cause or involved in fixing it before taking it to a garage and showing myself to be a bit wet behind the ears when it comes to cars

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Usually noise when applying the foot brake. points too the brake pads, need replacing. If not, you have a stone chip or rust between brake disk and pad, so needs cleaning.
Do you get the same noise applying the handbrake while coming to a stop?

there are two things you can be sure of

1) unless you are a competent DIY mechanic, you are going to have to take it to a garage or brake shed

2) it will not get better or cheaper if you delay.
