Hi,
I have a SAUNIER DUVAL combi boiler. For years it limped along providing lukewarm water because the gas used to cut out and switch on (came in waves if you like).
Suddenly its started working well, plenty of hot water but there is a loud noise coming from the boiler when comes on when the water is being heated up and ends when the tap is switched off or switched to cold.
I checked in the case and I can make the noise go away by lifting the fan at the top which takes the fumes into the pipe leading outside.
Would it be damgerous to lift the fan by propping it up or tying it? It seems the ribber isolators have worn or its running out of puff?
Any help much appreciated.
