I do a few boiler repairs in CV areas and like eating in the Balti in Nuneaton and some in Far Gosford Street, the Dragon Chinese and very occasionally at the Thai Dusit.

Richy - would help if you said which vaillant the boiler is! COuld be 2 basic models, SIne T3 (wide "belt" around the middle) or a VCW 2XX - 2 square gauges on right.

as for the boiler its the one with the two square dials chrisr

Change the magneto, sensors that are in line with the thermocouple circuit. Pilot flame should be healthy and also ensure you are using a proper Vaillant thermocouple and not copy part.

ANDY THE PLUMBER THAT CHANGED THE thermo coupler said it was hard to get the original part because of the boilers age?

anyone any ideas on that one .

only gone off once tonight.

SEEMS I MAY HAVE HAD THE STAT TURNED UP TO HIGH , ON 9 NOW ON 7 AND EVERYTHING ( FINGERSCROSSED ) IS HUNKY DOREY

COULD IT REALLY HAVE BEEN THAT EASY , 3 NIGHTS NO PROBLEMS.
