Hi,
My lounge currently has a 7' opening onto a "sunroom" (a room made of brick panneling with windows) which I'd like to open up. It would involve removal about 1.5' of brick wall on one side and 2' on the other. I've been told that an RSJ is required. I plan to get someone in to do it as it sounds too risky for a DIY project.
1) Would I need plans or permission for this?
2) How much would this cost - ballpark figure?
3) Is it a relatively straight forward job - low risk - for someone who knows what they're doing?
Cheers,
Warren
