Hi there.

We have gone to make tea tonight and found that the oven hadn't heated up.

Everything else appears fine:

The timer works
The thermostat light comes on
The main fan blows

All seems as it should other than the heat!

I'm guessing this means a new element but I want to be sure.

Is there any way to test it's not the thermostat?

Thanks very much.

You have tested the thermostat, if it lights up it works. It's the element gone take it out and stick a meter on it.

Thanks but i don't have a meter, just want to make sure I'm not throwing money away by buying a part that might not work.

I guess I'm as sure as I can be.

How bizarre, ours too!

We have a neff double oven and the rcd tripped while the misses was cooking mince pies in the lower oven.

Didn't think anything of it, reset it, bunged some chips in and had a bath.

Guess what.... Raw chips..!!

Lol.
