I have an artex ceiling in living room and on one section, due to a leak in the bathroom above, the artex has cracked and bellied so i plan to overboard the whole ceiling and get it skimmed afterwards.
Could anyone advise on the best way to do this e.g what size bord and thickness and also how far apart will existing joists be? Im reluctant to pull the ceiling down due to the fact im not sure if the artex contains asbestos.
