i drained the water out of the rad then refilled coz it was smelling like curry since this the temp light as been on an stays on until i unscrew the rad cap an leave it off but i dont like the idea ov leaving it off so iv gota get it sorted. iv changed the thermasat but still no joy,theres also a big build up of pressure as i unscrew the cap can any1 help

Sounds like you either have an air lock in the system (needs bleeding) or the head gasket has blown (needs replacing and the head checking for warpage). DON'T run it with the cap off.
look for bleed screws on the heater matrix pipes and possibly the radiator. let the air out with the engine running and you hopefully will be sorted.
