if you've got the heating on it shouldn't take to long to dry. But if you wait till it changes colour and goes pink as opposed to looking damp then you can paint it. You see them painting it when its "damp " on these tele progs but I personally would wait.. Bit of warmth in the room and your only going to wait a few days....
