I have a cupboard hung straight onto a plaster wall. There is no back to the cupboard and it has wooden shelves. Can I use one type of paint to cover the wooden shelves and the plaster wall or do I have to use different paint for the shelves and wall? Thanks in advance.

If you use a good primer/undercoat on the cupboard you could use the same paint as you would for the walls.

Remember emulsion doesn't take much wear and tear so if the cupboard is in regular use it may need a touch up now and then.
