I've done this before and had iffish results - paint them quick and get the occasional run or paint them slower and get brush marks.

I was wondering if it's worth taking them off the hinges and painting them flat to stop the runs happening? Or is it just a case of getting the technique right?

How do the pro's do it?

Thanks all.

rad roller then brush it out is the quickest way,if you take the doors off you can only paint 1 side at a time.

Use Dulux Trade Satinwood with a decent brush and you can't go wrong! It's pretty forgiving stuff and handles really nicely, and it covers really well, so you can often get away with just one coat over the old paint.
