Im wanting to paint the majority of my house, however the plaster is pretty poor in alot of places, chips and grooves in most it, Poor replastering after the addition of electrics. Im thinking of trying to fill all these, but just want to make sure im not wasting my time.
I would obviously prefer to have the whole lot skimmed, but I lack money and Im rich in time so would prefer the DIY option!
My question is,
Is it possible to get a good finish on old plaster, by repairing, patching etc, or do i need to bite the bullet?
I really really dont want to have to keep repairing falling off bits of plaster and want a better finish than that achieved by painting lining paper.
Thanks
Andy
