Hi all,
Completely new to painting... and there seems to be a ton of different types. The paint on my front and back doors is now pretty thin and faded, and there's also some chipping where the keys bash against it while unlocking/locking it (see pic).
Similarly the door frame has seen better days, and the canopy thing over the door (wooden frame) also.
What's my plan here? Do I just lightly sand it all to get the rough bits off, wash it all down to get the sanding residue and any dirt gone, then just slap the new paint on? Will it need multiple coats? And what type of paint do I need e.g. matte etc?
Excuse the stupid questions but it's the first time!
cheers
Matt
