Have just re-layed my patio using a mix of the old and new slabs. Some hexaginal and some square.
To save on the joining which caused a bit of a mess last time, textured finish on slabs, I have attempted to butt join them this time. Gaps between slabs varys from between 0 and 3mm. Was going to just brush the patio with kiln dried jointing sand, but am a little worried that it will blow/wash out too easily, especial when power washing it.
Was thinking of mixing a small amount of cement to harden it but feel that this will cause staining when trying to brush it over the slabs. Would mixing the sand with white external filler work?
Any ideas advice appreciated.
