actually, i am looking for a local firm that is capable of repairing consumer electronics. in this case a sony netwalkman (usb flash drive) with a broken micro ribbon cable. rather than some one used to repairing bulkier heating items. will give them a bell though.

cheers

Stay clear of anywhere in Alperton for repairing PCBs.

CET only do boiler fans and PCbs.

You need a consumer electronics repairer.

Most are throw away when they fail.

hi chris -
never been on a forum before but found a conversation you had with someone last year about a blue switchmaster actuator.
I need one as well.

I tried to log into the forum but it was locked.
sos if i'm breaking forum rules i'm really sorry but can you help

Yes, unfortunately they are used a lot by people who want to do a cheap job using second hand or repaired parts and are too mean to buy anything new!

Many of their repaired PCBs have deficiencies and some have had safety features disabled.

Any proper CORGI engineer is not allowed to use them but few would even want to anyway !
