Perishing Cold Caused by Tumble Dryer

We (perhaps unwisely) opted to have a vented tumble dryer installed.

We now find that the room is absolutely freezing cold and we suspect that the cold air from outside is blowing straight through the dryer.

Any suggestions as to how we could overcome this problem will be gratefully received.

Thanks

nothing wrong with vented driers.

describe how the duct goes through the wall. Is it a proper fit, sealed with mortar or expanding foam under the ornamental trim? Does the flap in the vented cowl swing shut under gravity when the drier is not blowing?

If you have the sort like a rattling venetian blind, pull it off and throw it away.

fit one of these http://www.screwfix.com/p/manrose-c...=Search-_-SearchRec-_-Area1&_requestid=319657

urggggh! that's the one that rattles when the wind blows, until the flaps fall off.

True...
Just have to get a decent one. lol. or put a strip of draft excluder this muffles the "clapping"

Keeping the dryer door shut will go a long way to stopping the cold and wind coming in through there!
