On only it's 2nd day of use I have managed to break the starter cord on my brand new Champion petrol mower!
I had some issues getting it started on the first day of use, so the stater cord saw a lot of use. I still did not expect it to shred and then snap so soon, you would think it would be designed to last longer.

Anyway my question is how big a job is to replace the cord?
I am hoping it will be a job I can do myself. Unfortunatley I cannot return the mower as it came from a friend of a friend.

Thanks in advance for any advice given.

Fairly easy job to do, but get it wrong and you'll end up with a big coiled spring flying out at you!
Can get them online for under a fiver, or take it to your local mower repair place who will probably do it for under £20
