Petrol mower power varying

Hi all,

Just taken my old petrol mower out the shed for the new year! It's a Mountfield HP470.

It starts fine, I just put in fresh fuel, but when it's running through motor seems to vary speed to the point of almost cutting out. Anyone know what would cause that?

I left it running for about 10 minutes, no improvement. Video attached here:

Time for a carburettor clean, not too much of a job but you’ll need an aerosol of carburettor cleaner.
Sorry I can’t access the video but that may be due to my ancient kit!
