Peugot 306 window wipers

Hi,
I have a problem with the front window wipers. When the wipers are on the intermittent setting they keep sticking and juddering down the screen, but they are ok when on the constant setting.

My friend's 306 has a similar problem -

This is the same problem as on my car, we'll see if any one knows what the solution is or what part to change.

sounds like you need a new instrument stalk.
