Hi

The washing machine we have takes 2 1/2 hours on a normal cycle at 40 degrees. Is this a normal amount of time for one of these machines as it seems a long time to me.

no idea what so ever.

but ask your self this, has it always taken this long?

I would also assume its a toploader?(they do take long)

the other thing is the heater may be getting "furred up" thereby taken longer to heat the water
