Hi,

After a nightmare four weeks where ive had an engineer constantly returning to sort out a fault of boiler not lighting, he finally got it working yesterday.

Unfortunately, it seems a new fault has followed.

I've had the thermacouple, gas valve and limit stat replaced on a Sime Friendly Combi-boiler.

All working yesterday afternoon until evening, but last night on returning from anight out, noticed the Pilot Light was again out. It relights, and fires up the heating and hot water, but seems to be cutting out after an hour.

Can anybody point me in the direction of what the problem may now be?

Many thanks in advance

if the boiler stat is out of calibration and you have it set quite high it can mean that the overheat stat cuts in before the boiler stat and drops the pilot out. Once the overheat stat goes once it normally needs replacing as it usually alter the temp at which it cuts out.

Thanks lads - much appreciated.

I'll certainly be calling him back, i find it's just good to maybe be aware what the problems might be, so that it helps me for future problems, and also to show any engineer ive got a bit of a clue

Again, thanks!

Paul
