Hi, I had recently attempted to plasterboard my kitchen ceiling. O have correctly fixed the plasterboards to the joists. Everything seems solid and secure. However my only problem is the ceiling was not properly square so I now have gaps around the edges, corners and between a few boards. How can I fill this so it is ready to be skimmed?

Thank You

Hi Nick,

A good plasterer will probably sort them out for you by knocking up a stiff mix to fill the gaps before skimming, but the best people to give you advice on this will probably be in the Plastering forum, especially if you plan on DIYing.

Try posting your query there. ;)

He will, hopefully, use srcim tape over all joins before he skims.

If he doesn't, expect the worst.
