Hi,
Need to renew my guttering so went down to Wickes and had a play with some of the semicircular guttering system. Could not for the life of me work out how on earth it fitted together. It's the type with two little locking levers but however I tried it, pushing, squeezing, cursing, I could NOT make the channel section fit into the other bits and pieces. Neither could the assistant. No instructions with the product of course.
I'm sure there's a knack to it......come on, tell me I'm stupid....

strong fingers or a pair of grips!

Even better go to eurocell and get deepflow gutter.

strong fingers  have you fitted 1970`s Hunter ribbed then ;) . Back edge in first - then drop front edge down - I`ll have a look when I`m near Wickes ;) Use Plumb Center stuff meself

Put the back edge of the gutter into the joint and then pull the front of the gutter towards you and down and the clip clips over the front edge and locks

Ah, think I've cracked it. The secret is to use the silicone lubricant which Wickes do actually mention in one of their 'handy guides' leaflets.

Or give the rubber a squirt of WD40 or even get the wifes furniture polish  ..............no problems, slips in easy.
