plastic has its advantages over copper but only if the plastic is installed correctly 
. sometimes testing procedure's to manufactures instructions are not carried out.
Best check with your house insurer's re diy plumbing work. Some dont allow it except for changing tap washers to bleeding radiators (alterations/new installs may be bundled into the policy but worth checking). We see diy disasters on a daily basis but it keeps my 24/7 operative in work.have to love diy sheds.
