Valiant ecotec Boiler went dead over night, won’t even switch on in the morning. Tried everything in the book - nothing. Smelled a little like burned plastic too. Now tried to switch it on and on it goes without any trouble. My question is - is it safe to keep it running or should I get someone to have a look at it first? Thanks!

If you had burning plastic smell, then sounds like an electrical fault. Might be ok for now, as getting someone out might not find anything wrong. That said, could be water ingress.

Ty Hank’s so much for your reply! I guess I will just keep it on to see how it goes. So far so good
