Pointing hard mortar?

Hi,

I bullt a wall in my garden a few days ago. Chuffed as its come out really good (if i do say so myself) and i pointed it up lovely.

About an hour later the heavens opened and it seems the mortar between the bricks must have swelled slightly.

It doesnt look as nice now , so how do i point the mortar now it has gone off hard?

Did you actually read my post properly???

I said the mortar swelled slightly due to the rain and now looks a bit messy!

In my opening post it explains why!!!!

It doesnt matter now as the sand and slab height will cover most of it anyway!

rain will not cause the mortar to increase in volume it will just dilute the outmost sections. If its sitting proud or there are trails of it down the wall should come off with a stiff maybe even wire brush as it is not proper mortar meerly watery scum.
