Hi

looking at the installation instructions for one of these it states that the inhibitor should be placed before the Boiler. Is there any reason it cant be installed (or has anyone tried this) just after the main stop cock therefore protecting all the plumbing from lime-scale?

Thanks
:)

With either of those you will always have to leave at least 1 tap that is direct from mains water to comply with water regs. You will also need a check valve before it. Neither will have an issue with treating the whole house but you will probably find you may have to replace more often than the 12 months stated.

As above but also remember that if you water stuff in the garden use the aforementioned tap that is before the inhibitor.

A minor point but worth noting.

Also, I had one in a previous property and I could actually taste it in the water as well.
