potterton 24 dhw fault

Hi all, boiler is doing my box. When i turn a hot tap on there is know hot water, however if i turn 2 to lt more flow through. It fires and we have heat.

I have checked cold in filter and that is clean, I can see that the pin is not coming all the way out and activating the microswitch unless you open 2 taps.

I have stripped down the dhw pressure valve and the diaphram appears intact. At the minute I'm stuck with what it can be as i am ubsure if there is any other moving parts in the diverter (maybe a paddle or somthing) and all posts that talk about a faulty diverter seem to be getting the boiler fired at least.

Just to add I have checked my thermo shower to make sure its not feeding back and causing odd pressure.

Its often difficult to see a tear in a diaphragm.

Once I could not see one and then the customer found it !

If you had stripped down the valve, for the cost of a new diaphragm why didn't you just change it?

Agile, you the man.

Just took it off again and it has a tear on the edge. This should nail it I hopes.

As the problem is clearly with the diverter, overhaul or replace it.
