Hi all

I have a potterton combi 80. Running the hot water heats the central heating. It has been intermittent in the past but now is permanent. Heating runs OK and boiler starts up OK. Any advice appreciated.
Thanks.

You can improve the performance and comfort until the diverter is changed by turning off each rad.

Alternatively even one of the red or blue taps but be warned if you choose that option they often leak.

Thanks for the advice. Could I get away with changing the wax head assy or cut my losses and change the whole unit?

The rads are off it just takes that much longer for the water to heat up. I wouldn't want to chance the blue/red taps as I changed one last year and it was a real pain.
