Potterton Gold HE & Heatmiser PRT-TS

Hi All,

Please can someone help. I'm trying to connect a Heatmiser PRT-TS to a Potterton Gold HE, as per the title. I've followed the instructions for both, but to no avail.

The stat is on, and I can hear the relay click inside it to switch on, but the boiler never fires. I've removed the bridging cable and the internal timer in the boiler.

Any ideas?

These are the 2 manuals.

It mentions in there about bridging the live and A1 on the thermostat. I haven't done this, as I wasn't sure if I needed to and didn't want to break it. If you could answer this, it may be the key.

When you removed the internal timer, did you link the switching contacts for the timer? I normally leave the timer in situ and leave it permanently switched on.

I've reinstalled the timer and left it switched permanent on. This is now working perfectly.

Out of interest, the instructions mention a 'blanking kit' - does this include something to bridge the switching contacts from the timer? I think this kit comes with the boiler, but we must have lost it.

Anyway, happy to leave the timer in place with it switch on.
