Hello all

I have a potterton netaheat 60 profile boiler the hot water is ok. I did install a radiator to replace a other radiators to heat up faullty leaking radiator.

I have not turned the central heating on since last year so the problem is

The new radiator is full of water and I have bled it it is cold but the pipes connected to it are hot but not has hot as the other radiators which are very hot!

I did notice I had to press the reset button on the potterton and it took aprox 10 hours for the now working radiators to get hot.

So i feel I have 2 problems

1.cold radaitor (pipes hot)
2. takes ages for the whole radiator system to heat up.

I have bled all the radiators and have unscrewed the screw on the pump and slowly pushed my screwdriver in and the pump is working as I felt and heard it. I then removed the 3 way valve above the pump to make sure the mechinism is ok I did replace this last year. I also replaces the air pressure switch and pcb but it all worked ok for months after

When I installed the new radiator (onto existing pipes) I did empty the header tank and re fill after the install and bled all radiators several times.

Any ideas on the above?

Air locks in the ch system,
blocked/worn pump,
valves stuck shut on the new rad,
Balancing miles out

is where I'd start.

Try closing all rads except one - then open a new one, then close the last, etc, until all the way round.
If still inadequate circulation, with just the CH on, change the pump.
