I dont know what part that is but the diaghraphm alone can usually be replaced but its worth replacing the pin gland at the same time as these always leak.

Perfect timing......I have a leaking pin gland (the one which faces out from the boiler, which unless I'm barking is the DHW). So, can I just replace the gland or does the whole lot need changing.

This appears to be the gland:

This boiler has almost cost me it's purchase price in parts (PCB, thermocouple and now this). Is it time to bin it?!

If your wasting money on a thermocouple for this boiler you must be barking and have more money than sense......

There's no thermocouple in a 28i

....maybe a terminology thing. Temperature sensor, looked very like a thermocouple. That was boiler engineer fitted to fix the boiler cutting out over temp (I think, was a while ago).
